Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Reconciliation and Settlement Manager to oversee the accounts reconciliation process, ensure the accurate and timely payment of invoices, and resolve any disputes or issues. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and analytical skills and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the accounts reconciliation process, including processing and posting invoices, credits, and payments.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices by reviewing customer accounts, identifying potential issues, and taking corrective action.
- Resolve disputes and issues with customers, including negotiating payment terms and settlements.
- Analyze customer payment patterns and identify trends or issues that could impact cash flow or revenue.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure the timely payment of invoices.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as sales and finance to ensure accurate invoicing and payment.
- Develop and implement procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the reconciliation process.
- Provide training and guidance to junior team members.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts reconciliation, including ledgers, journals, and other relevant documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes as necessary.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in accounts reconciliation, settlements, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or SAP.
- Experience with financial analysis and reporting tools.
