Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT Inventory Manager to oversee and manage our organization’s IT assets, including hardware and software inventory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all IT assets are tracked, maintained, and utilized efficiently while ensuring compliance with licensing agreements and organizational policies. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Asset Management: Track and maintain an accurate inventory of all IT hardware and software assets throughout their lifecycle.

Software Licensing Compliance: Monitor software usage and licensing agreements to ensure compliance and optimize costs.

Inventory Audits: Conduct regular audits of IT inventory to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy in records.

Data Analysis: Analyze inventory data to forecast future needs, identify trends, and make informed decisions regarding asset procurement and disposal.

Policy Development: Develop and implement inventory management policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.

Collaboration: Work closely with IT, procurement, and finance teams to optimize asset utilization and manage budgets effectively.

Vendor Management: Liaise with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts and manage relationships for IT assets.

Reporting: Prepare and present reports on inventory status, asset performance, and compliance metrics to management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

Proven experience in IT inventory management or IT asset management.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Proficiency in inventory management software and tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Asset Panda).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Certifications:

Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)

ITIL Foundation Certification

Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
